Frostype
A downloadable game for Windows
Catch all the fishes of this frozen landscape! Type a word to reel them in, work your way through the rarer species, make money and buy upgrades to make your experience smoother. You might even be able to catch the legendary beast of the lake...
Things to know/remember:
- After clicking on the hole for the second time you will have to wait for the fish to bite, it might take a bit, it is intentional. You will know it has when a word appears on the top;
- If sometimes a click doesn't do anything, make sure to double click, this problem might appear with the computer, stove and upgrades;
- There's no save file, but the game shouldn't take too long to finish in a single sitting;
- During tests it didn't happen but it is a possibility that after the typing minigame the game doesn't give you money;
- Just have fun!
The tutorial is in the images on the side, you will only need the LMB to interact with the environment and in any moment, to close the game, you can press the ESC button.
This is a project made for the "Gone Fishing Jam", developed in a week by two team members: I worked on the programming side of the project while my team member worked on the artistic side and the first ever game that we publish.
Many features will be added with future updates such as more animations, interactions with the environment, more fishes, upgrades and multipliers to make the experience more smooth.
Hope you will have fun and, have a nice day fishing!

From the moment I booted up this game, I was taken away by the art style and the overall vibes of the game. This is such a wonderful experience. A very chill, lofi incremental experience that I know I'll be playing a lot, with a unique fishing minigame to boot! Good job!
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It makes us so happy to hear your thoughts and we appreciate it so much. We had so much fun making the game and wanted to make something both relaxing but that could have took time to experience and have fun with.
